The audience experienced humorous texts and lively readers at the first beer reading in the Klementsaal in Isen.

Isen

- A fuel receipt and the hunting experiences of Baron Ludwig Cramer-Klett, the story of the fly Paul and the turtle Marta, the handbook of production technology: the visitors to the "Reading for beer" event in the Isener Klementsaal were inventive in the selection of the texts they by Peter Cronauer and Ina Schindler.

"It was all just stolen," said organizer Thomas Hiemer at the opening of the evening.

The original idea for the beer readings came from Lucas Fassnacht.

The Erlangen author and poetry slamer invented the format in which any text is read out loud and the presentation is rewarded with a beer.

The audience decides who gets the beer – the reader or the person who brought the text with them.

A "funny story", thought Hiemer.

He found two competitors from Isen who are very familiar with the language: Peter Cronauer is a journalist and author and won the "1275 Years of Isen" literature prize.

His comrade-in-arms Ina Schindler is a freelance PR consultant.

In order not to make it too easy for the two to read aloud, there were additional requirements: Hiemer gave the information written down on slips of paper - "like a kitten in love", "whiner", "with an accent" or "in the style of news anchor Thomas Brauner". direction for the lectures.

The first spectator beer went to Albrecht Heinz for his contribution "Madness in Isen", which he wrote especially for the event.

True to the alliteration in the title, the text continued with words that all begin with the letter "i".

That such nice nonsense sentences like "In Isen impotent engineers import intelligent inline skates", "International snack bar in Isen?

Impossible!

After all, Irmi eats Italian" or "I insist, Isen is always crazy, somehow, somewhere, sometime" came out, brought the lyricist the beer.

But Cronauer also got an extra beer for the reading, which he had to recite as a whiner.

The text that visitor Diana Dilena brought with her was unintentionally funny.

Her contribution was an excerpt from a handout that the nurse had received in a training course on cardiac arrhythmias.

With a breaking voice, Schindler read terms such as renal insufficiency or pericardial effusion, the sinus node syndrome even made her cry - she should read the text "desperately".

"It is fun.

I just have to be careful not to drink too much beer - not that I fall off the bistro chair," Schindler summed up during the break.

Cronauer also impressed with a lot of acting talent.

With verve he angrily presented an unusual letter of application and dictatorially presented an absurd story from “Nine Naked Hippopotamuses”.

"You can do it more often," was the opinion of the audience at the end.
