Depending on the circumference that will be measured, a ring size will then correspond: if the circumference of the finger measures 5 cm, then the ring size will be 50. In fact, the measurement (in centimeters) obtained must be multiplied by 10.

To be even more precise, it is necessary to calculate the size of the joint of the finger which will receive said ring, then the size of the location thereof.

Thus, if the circumference of the joint measures 5.3 cm and the measurement obtained at the level of the base of the finger where the jewel will be placed is 4.9 cm, it is advisable to take the average of the 2: here 5 .1 cm.

Then we multiply this figure by 10 to obtain the size of the ring (so 51 for this example).

How to know your ring size with a ring?

If a ring with the "right" size is available, nothing like it.

However, care must be taken to measure its inner diameter precisely and then transfer the result obtained to a table of correspondences to know the circumference of the ring, and therefore its size.

Indeed, the ring size is obtained here by multiplying its diameter by the number Pi (3.14) to calculate its circumference.

A simple error of half a millimeter on the measurement of its diameter will constitute a total difference of 1.5 mm on the circumference of the ring.

That is, a difference of one and a half sizes above or below the actual size.
