Chief of Staff Aviv Kochavi finished his visit to the USA this evening (Thursday) and returned to Israel. As I recall, Kochavi brought his return to Israel earlier following the two dramatic events that took place yesterday: the combined attack in Jerusalem and the kidnapping of Tiran Pero's body.
Yesterday, the Chief of Staff visited the Naval Forces Headquarters of the US Navy in Norfolk, Virginia. During the visit, the Chief of Staff was accompanied by the Commander of the US Naval Forces Command, Admiral Daryl Caudle, and toured a nuclear submarine and a helicopter carrier in order to deepen their operational capabilities.

Yesterday, the Chief of Staff participated in an operational situation assessment at the US Army Central Command headquarters in Tampa, Florida.
In addition, the Chief of Staff held a working meeting with the commander of CENTCOM, General Michael Korilla. According to a statement from the IDF spokesman, the joint assessment of the situation between the staffs delved into the challenges in the region, led by Iran.
A "road map" was agreed upon for the continuation of the joint activity and the establishment of dedicated teams to deal with the Iranian challenge.
We will remind you that at the beginning of the week in Kochavi, he met with senior officials of the American security establishment at the Pentagon, at the CIA headquarters and at the White House, and was scheduled to meet with the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, with the Israeli ambassador to the United States, with the American national security adviser and with the head of the CIA.
At the end of the visit, the Chief of Staff said that "in order to improve dealing with the regional challenges, in the coming period the joint activity with the US Army's Central Command (Middle East) will be significantly expanded. At the same time, the IDF will continue to act vigorously against Iranian entrenchment in the region ".
