Meghan Markle likes to show off a crown at every opportunity.

But that could soon be over.

King Charles III

could soon strip her of her title because of a new bill.

London – The dedication in her children's book "The Bench" is "Duchess of Sussex" and Meghan Markle (41) also likes to flash a crown over her initial on her private stationery.

Many Britons don't think it's ok, since Prince Harry (38) and his wife decided against living with the crown when they left at the beginning of 2020.

Queen Elizabeth II (96, † 2022) prohibited them from using their social media profile "Sussex Royal", King Charles III.

(74) could soon end the title poker due to a newly filed bill.

The missing duchess title could mean a career break for Meghan Markle

Prince Harry, Meghan Markle and Prince Andrew (62) now have to worry about their titles.

They could lose their royal titles if a new bill passes Parliament.

This would allow the king to remove titles within the royal family at his own discretion or upon a formal government recommendation.

It turns out that the monarch does not have the power to strip them of their titles

- nothing can be done without new legislation.

Prince Harry could humiliate Duchess Meghan again by stripping them of their titles.

The issue was only recently on the table as the King had to propose an amendment to the Regency Act to appoint Princess Anne, 72, and Prince Edward, 58, as Councilors of State.

Under current guidelines, Prince Harry and Prince Andrew remain Councilors of State, although both - for different reasons - have both left official royal duties for some time.

The Controversial Regency Law

By law, the Councilors of State are composed of the monarch's spouse and the next four people in line to the throne who are over the age of 21.

The current Councilors of State are the King's wife Camilla, Prince William, Prince Harry, Prince Andrew and Princess Beatrice.

The king has already addressed the concerns of two non-working members of the royal family in such high positions.

King Charles requested an amendment to the Regency Act that would allow him to appoint two additional Councilors of State in the form of Princess Anne and Prince Edward, his other two siblings.

In a statement to Parliament, the King wrote that the proposed change "would ensure the continued efficiency of public affairs when I am unavailable e.g.

B. when I carry out official tasks abroad”.

This should clear up the issue sufficiently.

Should Charles III.

be abroad, the efficiency of public transactions must be ensured

An absurdity for Rachel Maskell, the MP for York.

According to the Express, she is fed up with the fact that Prince Andrew can continue to call himself Duke of York, even though he has complained about the royals' reputation with his abuse scandal, which ended in a comparison.

She has tabled a proposal for a title-removal bill to go through a second reading in the House of Commons on December 9.

Commenting on the bill, the Labor MP said: "Yorkians made it clear to me in February that they wanted Andrew to be stripped of his title of Duke of York following revelations about his personal affairs.

I've been listening to the city and trying to find ways to have such a title revoked, but it won't be possible without new laws."

If the draft goes through, it would also mean relinquishing the titles of Prince Harry and his wife, although Prince Andrew and Harry are entitled to the title by birthright.
