"The Dream Ship" stopped in Lapland in the latest episode.

At the wheel of the ZDF show was Florian Silbereisen again.

However, the episode did not go down well with television audiences.

Lapland - dreamy winter landscape, romantic sea view and a top-class cast: The latest episode of the ZDF hit "Das Traumschiff" - which took the busy cutter to Lapland - actually does everything right on paper.

The trip to the icy north of Finland, where pop star Florian Silbereisen (41) took the wheel again, turned out to be anything but a top-class TV spectacle in the eyes of the viewers.

Full speed north: "Das Traumschiff" sets off for Lapland - and receives criticism from fans

The latest edition of the cult show, which first flickered across screens on November 22, 1981, featured colorful characters, great excitement and plenty of winter feeling, as usual.

Florian Silbereisen's courageous captain Max Parger received a visit from two old friends on board, while ship's doctor Jessica Delgado (Collien Ulmen-Fernandes, 41) was struggling with a mysterious case of illness.

A real hit star and a legendary presenter at the helm - what can go wrong?

On November 20, "Das Traumschiff" set off for Lapland.

However, the thrilling journey to the snow-covered wonderland did not seem to spark much enthusiasm among television audiences.

Following the episode, many critical voices could be heard on the short message platform Twitter, which only shared shaking heads and confusion instead of cheers.

The weekend with “Traumschiff”, “Tatort” and the big TV comeback of “Wetten, dass..?” actually promised a nostalgic TV program for eternity.

"90 minutes of searching for the script": New episode of "Traumschiff" fails with viewers

Above all, the plot of the long-awaited episode seems to have completely failed the ZDF audience.

"The 90-minute search for the script begins," writes a disappointed Twitter user, "Even the music and you know that nothing will happen and nothing will make sense and in the end everyone will be happy," says another.

"I think that in the future it should be stated in the credits which drugs the screenwriters took," comments one viewer, particularly spitefully.

Despite the confusing story, the television sets should be switched on again at the latest for the next adventure of the dream ship crew on December 26th.

"It was terrible, I'm looking forward to the next episode," says one fan.

After "Schlager oder N!xxx" had lost the odds duel with the betting show, Thomas Gottschalk could not resist a dig at Florian Silbereisen on "Wetten, dass..?".
