Someone in Kwai Chung is suspected to have fallen from a height and died. At about 1:00 noon today (24th), a man suspected to have fallen from the footbridge connecting Mansion Street to the elevator tower of the footbridge in Kwai Chung Estate and lay down on the opposite side of Fu Yat House in Tai Wo Hau Estate


Someone in Kwai Chung is suspected to have fallen from a height and died.

At around 1:00 noon today (24th), a man suspected that he fell from the footbridge connecting Mansion Street to the elevator tower of the footbridge in Kwai Chung Village, and lay down near the iron railing on the slope opposite Fu Yat House, Tai Wo Hau Estate. Passers-by found and reported the incident.

Rescuers arrived at the scene and the victim was certified dead at the scene.

After preliminary investigation, the victim was a 79-year-old man surnamed Chen.

The police did not seize a suicide note at the scene, and the cause of death of the victim is yet to be determined after an autopsy.
