Sexual abuse of a minor, 56-year-old arrested in Taranto

A 56-year-old from Palagiano (Taranto), with a criminal record, was arrested by the police for sexual assault and various attempts to sexually abuse a minor.

The man was notified of a precautionary custody order issued by the investigating judge at the request of the prosecutor.

The investigative activity, which began about two weeks ago, after the complaint of the minor's mother, is based on the statements of the alleged victim, the testimony of people informed about the facts and the acquisition of documentation.

    Several episodes, which began last summer, are disputed.

Also disputed is a hypothesis of sexual violence, dating back to the first days of November, when the victim, after being lured with an excuse to enter the suspect's home, was allegedly groped.

In this context, the minor, albeit deeply shaken, managed to take a photograph as he walked away from the house, which portrayed the man in attitudes deemed unequivocal.

The minor was heard by the investigating magistrate with the help of a psychologist from the ASL and the judicial police in the room "A room for himself" intended for protected hearings, built inside the Massafra Company offices and inaugurated last month .
