In the attack in which the late Ronen Hanania was murdered, a terrorist entered the area of a store located on the road between Kiryat Arba and Hebron, near the Ashmoret checkpoint. The terrorist shot at Hanania, and was then neutralized on the spot by a civilian security officer and an IDF officer who was on vacation.
Liebman, together with Tamar and her mother presented a certificate of appreciation to Nathaniel Yamin, head of the medical team in Kiryat Arba Hebron who performed a surgical operation that saved Tamar's life.

The head of the council, Eliyahu Liebman, said: "We are here to stay forever and to win forever and to retaliate against any enemy who tries to rise up against us. We must return the deterrence and eliminate every enemy in his bed, considering the next to be killed, let him be killed. We will do everything to eliminate them in every meeting and wherever they try to harm civilians and members of the security forces."
