Again there is excitement about the father of the February 19 attacker in Hanau.

The man is said to have fed on students and then threatened them.

Parents are on edge.

Hanau – The father of the February 19, 2020 assassin is once again in the headlines after an incident at the Heinrich Heine School – and he continues to spread fear.

On Wednesday (November 23) a situation with children escalated, causing waves.

According to the latest development, Mayor Claus Kaminsky (SPD) wants to ensure that the father of the assassin, Hans-Gerd R., is not allowed to enter the school and daycare grounds, reports fr.de.

What happened?

On Wednesday, R. allegedly stood with his shepherd dog on the fence of the elementary school and spoke to children.

He is said to have approached the children and told them to pet his dog.

After a boy recognized the assassin's father, he insulted R.

He became angry and threatened the children that he would come back at 1:15 p.m. at the end of class and then something bad would happen.

"I'll see you after school," he said.

He then waited at Kurt-Schumacher Platz, near the school, according to footage obtained by the Frankfurter Rundschau.

Terror in Hanau: "For the time being I will no longer send my child to school"

The school alerted the police after the incident.

Yesterday, they only confirmed that around 9:50 a.m. on the outside of a school in the Kesselstadt district, there should have been a verbal argument between students and a 75-year-old man.

In this context, the 75-year-old is being investigated on suspicion of insult and threats.

"I'm not going to send my child to school anymore.

My child is afraid.

I'm afraid.

My nerves are at the end,” says one mother.

The 2020 attack traumatized her and her child.

The boy's grades had deteriorated.

Now he doesn't want to go to school anymore.

Other parents also reported on Wednesday evening that they also initially did not want to send their children to school because they were concerned that "there were not enough security measures".

"I don't want to walk around with my kids anymore.

I'm scared," said one father.

Since the attack, he's worried because the assassin's father was walking around freely in Kesselstadt.

“For the time being, we are no longer sending our children to school, something has to be done first.

He needs to be locked away.

He's a ticking time bomb.”

Terror in Hanau: Mayor Kaminsky speaks of covert and open measures

According to his own statement, Mayor Claus Kaminsky (SPD) coordinated yesterday with Jürgen Fehler, the head of the Main-Kinzig police department.

There are “covert and open measures”, according to the head of the town hall.

Kaminsky said in an interview with the Hanauer Anzeiger that he had issued a ban on entering the father of the assassin, which included schools and daycare centers.

Kaminsky: "He has no business there."

The families of the students were contacted by message on Wednesday afternoon that the situation had been clarified and that there was no reason to worry, the director of the Heinrich Heine School said.

"Please discuss this with your children and help stop any further rumors from spreading," she wrote to parents.

The school declined to comment when asked.

Yesterday there was allegedly a meeting of parents at the school, which is not far from the second crime scene.

Terror in Hanau: R. also scared employees in the town hall

Parents reported on Wednesday evening (November 23) that R. waited near the school on Halloween night and scared the children with his dog.

Several youths from Kesselstadt also say that he followed them with his dog.

Most recently, Hans-Gerd R. visited the mother of Ferhat Unvar, who was shot in the racist attack, several times at home and threatened her.

Allegedly, the assassin's father broke the ban on contact and approach, and another report was filed by the Unvar family.

He also showed up at City Hall.

City workers are scared.

OB Kaminsky has now banned R. from the house.

The assassin's father obviously shares his son's racist world view and spreads conspiracy theories.

The assassin murdered nine people with a migration background.
