Beirut-SANA
The Lebanese parliament failed again today to elect a new president for the republic.
The Lebanese National News Agency stated that none of the candidates obtained two-thirds of the votes of the 128 members of the House of Representatives during the session that was held today, while Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri set the first of next December as the date for the session to elect the president.
This is the seventh session held to elect a new president for Lebanon without reaching any results.
