Lena Volkov, the widow of Yuri Volkov who was stabbed to death yesterday (Wednesday) in Holon told today with pain that the incident happened after they were walking together and warned the scooter rider who cut them off at a red light, when theirs was green.
"We told him it wasn't allowed. He looked out of place. I told Yuri that he might be photographed and sent to the police. Then he killed him."
"My father was a hero," said Yuri's daughter, Daria.
"There was a motorcycle driver who apparently tried to run them over at the first crosswalk. My mother started taking pictures of him and wanted to pass the information on to the police. He must have seen it, got angry, went back and told her to delete the pictures. She agreed to delete them, saying, 'It's fine, just keep going ". He continued to move towards her and clung to her. My father saw everything, immediately approached quickly and told him, 'Go ahead, man, everything is fine.' Apparently, this man did not like it, he shouted at my mother in half Arabic, half Hebrew. He took out a retractable knife and stabbed my father in the heart. They are still looking for him."
Daria described her father Yuri.
"My father was a very strong person, he survived Corona three times. He worked in intensive care and helped other people. He was an army man for six years. I call on the police to find the murderer and put him in prison for as many years as possible, so that he will suffer for the rest of his life."
