The Russian Ministry of Defense announced that two Russian Tu-160 strategic bombers carried out a 13-hour flight in the airspace over the neutral waters of the Barents Sea and the Norwegian Sea, stressing that the implementation of all flights of the Russian Air Force aircraft is carried out in strict accordance with international rules for the use of airspace.
The Russian agency, Sputnik, quoted the ministry as saying in a statement today: “Two strategic missile carriers of the Tu-160 model carried out a long-range, scheduled flight in the airspace over the neutral waters of the Barents Sea and the Norwegian Sea,” noting that the duration of the flight was about 13 hours, as it accompanied the two launchers.
