The literary and artistic event hosted by the Cultural Center in Tartous as part of the Syrian Culture Days celebration included a plastic exhibition by artists Ola and Mona Bilal, in addition to a singing concert.

The exhibition included plastic paintings that were dominated by the national character and the sacrifices made by the heroes of the Syrian Arab Army, in addition to drawings for children.

Dr. Fatima Bilal, the sister of the two artists, explained that although they are deaf and dumb, they succeeded in investing their energy in plastic art with the support of their mother several years ago, during which they participated in exhibitions inside and outside the governorate, and indicated that Ola’s drawings were dominated by the national character and the meanings of loss and sacrifice for the mother of the martyr and the heroes of the Syrian Arab Army. Most of them use the method of dotting using regular and dry multi-colored pens, with the formation of paintings of sea shells.

And about Mona's style, she showed that she uses bright and cheerful oil colors to express the states of the dreamy, sad, and joyful female.

As for the musical concert, which was presented by the Nahawand Choir, led by the artist Hala Naqrour, it included songs from the original music in a new style.

Naqrour indicated that the new choir was launched for the first time five months ago with the songs of the artist Sabah Fakhri, to carry the message of authentic rapture, which is an important part of the rich Syrian heritage.

The Safita Cultural Center held a lecture by Dr. Reem Solomon, in which she introduced the concepts of self-regulation for learning and mental wandering as psychological and educational concepts, and directed the attention of educators to the importance of focusing on developing skills and strategies for self-regulation of learning in schools and universities, to help students organize their learning.

Several proposals were made, including holding university lectures and seminars aimed at raising the level of self-regulation of learning among students, increasing their awareness of its strategies and their ability to apply them optimally, and holding continuous training courses for university students in this field.
