Yesterday (25th) at around 10pm, officers from the Yau Tsim Police District launched an operation codenamed "WARHORSE", "PINETOWER" and "CATCHLIGHT" to crack down on unlicensed liquor sales.
Among them, the Miscellaneous Investigation Team of the Tsim Sha Tsui Division uncovered a suspected unlicensed premises at 53 Granville Road. The 47-year-old man in charge was arrested on suspicion of "possessing alcoholic beverages without a license for sale" and "selling alcoholic beverages without a license" , 45-year-old male staff were arrested for "unlicensed sale of alcoholic beverages"; 2 arrested men and a 33-year-old male customer were also involved in violation of the "Prevention and Control of Disease (Requirements and Directions) (Business and Premises) Regulations" " (Cap. 599F) was fined.

In addition, the Miscellaneous Investigation Team of the Yau Ma Tei Division also smashed a suspected non-licensed premises at No. 149 to No. 151 Wusong Street. The 51-year-old female staff was arrested for "selling alcoholic beverages without a license".
During the operation, officers seized a total of 43 bottles of beer, 16 bottles of spirits and table wine, with a total market value of about 17,000 yuan.
