The third day of the Syrian Culture Days celebration in Homs witnessed a variety of events including cinema and music, where the “Nawa Athar” band presented a musical concert at Marmarita Theater in Wadi Al-Nadara district in Homs.

And the singers Andre Sukkar and Nojek Kalenjian excelled in their singing performances of Umm Kulthum, Warda, Abdel Halim Hafez and Fayrouz.

Fayez al-Shami, the leader of the band, pointed out to SANA reporter the importance of this artistic participation within the Syrian Culture Days, which is considered an important space for artistic and musical groups to present their art and creativity, noting that Nawa's participation today in the town of Marmarita is an affirmation that the cultural days and the literature they carry Arts, theater and music include most areas in Homs.

Kalenjian expressed her happiness with this participation during the festive days, which enhance the cultural and artistic aspect, and show fine art in various regions.

Singer Sukkar stated that the cultural days aim to spread joy and happiness among the audience, which leads us to present our best to satisfy the artistic taste. Violinist Ayham Saad saw that the musical evenings inside and outside the city of Homs, especially within the Syrian cultural days, express our civilization, history and ancient cultural identity.

In a related context, the Directorate of Culture of Homs screened today the Syrian film “The Truck Driver” in Abdel Moeen Al Malouhi Hall, which was attended by a number of fans of old Syrian films.

The film was produced by the General Film Corporation in 1966, starring and starring a group of Syrian actors such as Khaled Taja.

At another time, in the same hall, the movie “The Leopard”, a black and white Syrian film produced by the General Film Corporation in 1972, was shown.
