A sinkhole opened this morning (Friday) in Aylon, near the La Guardia interchange to the south.
Three lanes were blocked and the police were called to the scene.
No casualties were reported and there was heavy traffic in the area.
The police said that the driving public is asked to choose alternative routes and to obey the instructions of the police officers on the spot and direct the vehicles.
At the beginning of the week, a sinkhole was opened at the corner of Ibn Gvirol-Zeitlin Street in Tel Aviv, near the light rail works there.
The northbound road was blocked to traffic and no injuries were reported.
The NTA company stated that the connection between the formation of the sinkhole and the green line is being examined. "Due to subsidence in the road that was discovered in the section on Ibn Gvirol, the NTA contractor closed the section and now engineering work is being carried out on the spot. According to the professionals in the field, it is not a deep subsidence, and the work will be completed within hours".
