The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey issued the order, FMG announced in a press release.

With a total area of ​​around 93,000 square meters and a capacity of up to 14 million passengers per year, the new Terminal A at Newark Airport is one of the largest infrastructure projects in the US state of New Jersey, according to FMG.

The airport terminal is intended to "set new standards in the US and global airport landscape," according to the statement.

"The Port Authority NYNJ, together with Munich Airport, has created an infrastructure that offers a unique passenger experience with state-of-the-art technology and efficient processes and will set a new benchmark for the entire American airport industry," says Airport Manager Jost Lammers.

The focus is on the characteristics of the state of New Jersey as a pioneer in the fields of science, art and culture.

MAI is represented there with 100 employees from 30 nations.

The airport is not new to them.

Because MAI has already been operating an existing terminal there for three years.

"Management contracts like in Newark are an important building block for the successful growth of MAI and strengthen our international presence," confirms its managing director Dr.

Lutz Weisser.

The MAI has long since developed into a global player.

According to group information, it is one of the leading providers of commissioning and relocation of airport infrastructure.

With around 180 experts worldwide, more than 125 projects have been successfully carried out in more than 45 countries.

MAI has become active in Bangkok (Thailand), Quito (Ecuador), Madrid, Barcelona (Spain), Rio de Janeiro (Brazil) and Delhi (India).

In addition to airports, customers include governments, airlines, construction companies and various consulting firms.
