State chairman Martin Hagen was a guest at the annual meeting of the Gautinger FDP in Unterbrunn.

The CSU did not get away well that evening.

Gauting

– With the state chairman Martin Hagen, the Gautinger FDP recently invited prominent visitors to their local meeting at the Böck country inn in Unterbrunn.

According to district chairwoman Britta Hundesrügge, the guest will be even more prominent in the foreseeable future, namely when he takes office as Bavarian Minister of Finance after the upcoming state elections in autumn 2023.

"I see us at seven percent and I see us in the government," said the municipal and district councilor.

"Martin will rock this thing."

Anger about the CSU letter to the district

At the CSU - especially the local one - Hundesrügge, the direct candidate of the Liberals for the Starnberg constituency, did not leave a good hair.

She recalled the letter in which the Gautinger CSU urgently asked the district to save and for which she had the support of the majority of the municipal council.

"They didn't understand how democracy works," she said.

"This helplessness is breathtaking." Already in the aforementioned municipal council meeting, she had pointed out that the district cannot simply save as it wants.

He also has duties - and lots of them.

Criticism of the Söder appearance in Herrsching

Hundesrügge claimed the credit for the fact that the Herrschinger Gymnasium is now taking shape for the FDP.

"Without our commitment, nothing would have happened, we have to make that clear to the citizens."

"I was absolutely ashamed," she said.

"A school can never be good enough, the young people have to value that."

In his keynote speech, Martin Hagen presented the liberals' referendum entitled "Prevent XXL referendums".

Like Bavaria, Germany suffers from bloated parliaments.

The Maximilianeum was originally designed for 180 MPs, after the next election it could be 220.

"That doesn't fit at all in this time," said Hagen.

"A parliament must be lean and efficient." From his own experience, he reported that certain backbenchers have never even taken the lectern.

"If I wanted to polemicize, I would say: No wonder they come up with stupid ideas like mask deals."

A goose dinner without geese

One could hardly have imagined it better: The FDP invites you to its local meeting, including traditional roast goose - and as a guest speaker there is also a Martin, more precisely Martin Hagen, state leader of the Liberals.

But nothing came of the beautiful meeting, geese are in short supply this year, the piece would have cost well over 30 euros.

The local chairmen Markus Deschler and Eva Schroth did not want to expect their members to do that.

They switched to duck.

And how did Martin Hagen deal with the situation?

Very sovereign.

"Like ducks, geese taste best when they're fat and well-fed," he explained.

"But that doesn't apply to parliaments." Which brought him directly to the topic, the streamlining of the Maximilianeum demanded by the FDP.

Sabine Leutheusser-Schnarrenberger inquired about the status of citizen income.

Hagen defended the project: "It certainly sets incentives to take up work." Unfortunately, the Union works with "tough fake news", according to which the citizen money represents a departure from the principle of "support and demand".

"That's not true." Krailling's Mayor Rudolph Haux wants to build four to six wind turbines in his community, but is desperate about the bureaucracy.

"It takes up to seven years, that's a huge problem." Hagen assured that the central concern of the traffic light is and remains to speed up the planning process considerably.

"That's our turn, all traffic light parties agree on that."
