The Starnberg Christkindlmarkt on Kirchplatz has opened and will spread the Christmas spirit in the city center until December 4th.

Starnberg - 150 children lit up their lanterns, and the stately red spruce also shone for the first time yesterday on the church square in Starnberg.

The Christmas market is now enticing for eleven days with a Christmas offer at 35 stands and atmospherically lit spruce groves and mangers.

The third mayor, Christiane Falk, opened the Christmas market on the Starnberg church square on Thursday, November 24th: “The city of Starnberg would like to thank all the exhibitors, associations, restaurateurs and artists who contribute to the success of our Christmas market.

I am very pleased that the Christmas market can take place again after a two-year Corona break and that it is helping to revitalize our city center".

Afterwards, together with the location promotion team, she distributed gifts to the around 150 children who had previously taken part in the lantern parade.

The opening was musically framed by the Starnberg town band and the Starnberg and Grünwald music schools.

The Christmas tree on the church square, a 13 meter high red spruce from Starnberg, also shone for the first time on Thursday evening.

This year, for the first time, the Christmas market will take place on eleven days, until Sunday, December 4th.

An atmospherically lit spruce grove, wooden mangers and the 35 decorated market stalls create a special Christmas atmosphere.

In addition to a diverse range of goods and a delicious gastronomic offer, visitors can look forward to a colorful supporting program with many activities for children and musical highlights.

Shopping Sunday, Ukrainian music and a visit from St. Nicholas

On Saturday, November 26, Advent jazz can be heard from 3 p.m. and a Ukrainian music program from 5 p.m.

On Sunday, November 27, from 1 p.m., you can also shop in the Starnberg shops.

The Christmas workshop for children is open daily until November 29th.

Santa Claus is coming on December 3rd.
