Many Christmas markets in the region open on the first weekend in Advent.
We provide an overview.
District – Just in time for the first Advent, the Christmas spirit is now also reaching the district of Ebersberg.
In most communities, the Christmas trees and festive Christmas lights have been up for a few days.
But the numerous Christmas markets in the region this weekend ensure a pre-Christmas atmosphere – with mulled wine, crepes and bratwurst.
We give an overview:
Ebersberg and Ebersberg Forest
On Saturday, the Christmas market opens its doors on Marienplatz in Ebersberg for two days.
In addition to mulled wine, tarte flambée and roasted almonds, visitors can marvel at the craftsmanship of a glassblower, among other things.
The initiators of the “Association of Self-Employed Bavarians” have also come up with a wide range of activities for the children: there will be singing, music and handicrafts.
As usual, Santa Claus is giving presents to little visitors again this year.
The Christmas market is open on Saturday from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m. and on Sunday from 12 p.m. to 7 p.m.
In addition, many shops open around Marienplatz and in the E-EinZ on Sundays between 1 p.m. and 6 p.m.
The small "Woidmarkt" at the Forsthaus Hubertus invites you on all four Advent weekends.
From 11 a.m., visitors can enjoy the various sales stands with warm drinks and food, as well as a campfire.
Forstinning and Hohenlinden
On Saturday, the Pastetten gospel choir will musically get the audience in the mood for the first Advent at the Forstinninger Christkindlmarkt.
From 5 p.m. the Christmas market opens in the schoolyard on Aicherstrasse for two days.
Thanks to an extensive supporting program, visitors can experience a lot in Forstinning: In addition to a carriage ride through the town, the market also offers a puppet show for the children.
The Christmas market is open on Saturday from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. and on Sunday from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m.
In the community of Hohenlinden, too, the Christmas market stalls are set up on the school and parish grounds just in time for the first Advent.
At 5:30 p.m. on Saturday in the parish church of St. Josef, the traditional costume association will ring in the pre-Christmas period.
At the same time, the stalls at the Christmas market open.
The "Healinea Christkindlmarkt" is open on Saturday from 5:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. and on Sunday from 11:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Anzing and Poing
This year, the Anzinger Christkindlmarkt will take place on the first Sunday in Advent around the market square and the Kirchenwirt.
From 2 p.m., visitors can explore the many stands with homemade and handcrafted items as well as a raffle booth.

The market opens to visitors on Sundays from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Vaterstetten and Assling
Between the town hall and the church forecourt, the “Hüttenzauber” of the community of Vaterstetten takes place at the weekend.
The Christmas Academy, the Vaterstetten music school and the Ammerthal brass band are all represented at the Christmas market.
The market is open from 3 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Saturday and from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday.
At the Aßlinger Christkindlmarkt on Saturday, the Eichhofen village music creates a good atmosphere.
The market, including a children's program in the parish center, takes place from 3 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Mitterweg between the cemetery and the playground.
Advent lights in Pienzenau
The Advent lights of the "Offene Politik in Bruck" in Pienzenau have also been announced for Saturday.
