Former Mainland Armed Police Sentenced to 6 Years in Prison for Raping Newly Acquainted Single Mother

In 2020, the defendant’s family underwent drastic changes. Not only did he suffer financial losses, but two family members even committed suicide one after another. Since then, he has taken on the responsibility of taking care of his family. In the same year, he came to Hong Kong with a one-way permit to work on a Hong Kong site.

There is no commutation factor in this case, but the defendant did not use a condom, which increased the woman’s chances of contracting sexually transmitted diseases, and showed the kitchen knife when he raped the other party, which are all factors for additional punishment. After considering all the circumstances, he was sentenced to 6 years in prison.
