It's hard to believe: in one year, you order almost 1,000 times from Lieferando

The largest German food supplier publishes its "lieferando report 2022".

Now a question arises: Which Frankfurter has ordered 962 times?

Frankfurt – The online delivery service Lieferando has published its annual Lieferando Report for 2022.

The report provides interesting insights into the food world of Germans and shows that inflation has a significant impact on ordering behavior.

But one aspect is particularly surprising.

The biggest fan of the delivery app comes from Frankfurt.

Hard to believe: the person from the Hessian city of Essen is said to have ordered more than 1000 times, reports fnp.de.

For the report, Lieferando analyzed internal statistics and data from around 15 million users at over 32,000 affiliated restaurants in more than 2,000 German cities.

Within a year - between September 1, 2021 and August 31, 2022 - countless insights came to light.

The market research institute Kantar also surveyed 1,000 users of the app.

962 times: That's how often Lieferando drivers had to move out of Frankfurt for a single user.

Frankfurter is the biggest fan: Inflation is also evident at Lieferando

The rising cost of living is not only noticeable in the supermarket, at the tap or when heating.

Lieferando, which has had a serious competitor in Frankfurt with Uber Eats since 2021, was also able to register changes in ordering behavior.

More than 75 percent of those surveyed said they kept some of the food they ordered for the next day.

44 percent look more closely at the prices and twelve percent only order when the app shows special offers.

Surprisingly, at least on Lieferando, pizza is not the favorite food of Germans.

One of the most frequently ordered dishes is a classic from the USA: the cheeseburger.

In second place are french fries, which have risen rapidly within a year.

For comparison: In 2021, the fried potato sticks didn't even appear in the "Top Five".

Chicken burgers and hamburgers follow in third and fourth place.

The classic made of cheese, tomato sauce and crispy yeast dough - the pizza margherita - is in fifth place.

What the Hessians prefer to order from Lieferando

But overall, Italian cuisine can once again pick up the gold medal.

Hesse does not fall far short of the trend when it comes to the list: Italian, American and Japanese dishes are the most popular here.

The cheeseburger is in first place in the state, followed by fries and pizza margherita.

Interesting detail from Hesse: Most orders are placed here at night.

2.7 percent of orders go out in the dark, closely followed by Baden-Württemberg with 2.6 percent.

Frankfurter ordered almost 1000 times from Lieferando

The Hessians can look forward to the cost of the pizzas.

With a price of 8.35 euros for the average pizza, only North Rhine-Westphalia is lower.

Bayern have to dig deep into their wallets.

There the Italian sauce bread is expensive 10.38 euros.

Curious: The record bill was 1233 euros in the past twelve months.

And one or one of them pressed “Order” in the app particularly often: “The most loyal Lieferando fan comes from Frankfurt and ordered a total of 962 times.

That's 90 times a month, 19 times a week and up to three times a day," the company said.
