Today, the Commander of the Ground Forces of the Iranian Revolutionary Guards, Brigadier General Mohammad Pakpour, announced the deployment of armored units and special forces in the western and northwestern border regions of the country to counter terrorist threats.

Pakpour indicated that some armored units and special forces of the ground forces are currently heading to the border governorates in the west and northwest of the country, noting that this measure is to strengthen the units stationed on the borders and prevent the infiltration of terrorist groups from northern Iraq.
