The followers of Jennifer López already sensed what could be to come.

Hours before the 20th anniversary of “This is Me…then”, the singer deleted all content from her Instagram account.

A sign that she would make an important announcement and with a high probability that it would be new music.

And it was so.

Precisely on the twentieth anniversary of the production, JLO released a new version of that album and announced a new album that could be considered a continuation.

It is a production that will be called "This is Me... Now" and that will feature new songs.

It will be released in 2023.

The album will narrate "an emotional, spiritual and psychological journey that (López) has undertaken in the last two decades," says a statement shared with CNN en Español.

“(It is) an emotionally raw and honest project, unlike anything I have produced before.

She writes and sings about her life and her experiences that will resonate with all of us.

Furthermore, these autobiographical stories informed by the album will result in other very personal projects to be released next year… more details to come,” she adds.

What will Jennifer Lopez's new album have?

The production will have “confessional” themes.

The singer is also expected to talk about situations that she has gone through in these two decades, including failed relationships, the statement indicates.

For López, this production is the most honest he has done.

“This album is the most honest thing I've ever done, the culmination of who I am as a person and an artist.

People think they know things about what happened to me on the road, but they really have no idea, and they are often wrong.

There's a part of me that was hiding a side of me from everyone's view.

And I feel like I'm at a place in my life, finally, where I have something to say about it," the singer told Vogue magazine in early November.

In the list of songs, there are a couple that give us clues that there will be romanticism on the album.

"Dear Be, pt II", perhaps it is a love letter to her now husband.

On the album "This is Me... Then", JLO told her then-boyfriend: "You're perfect, I can't control myself, I can't be with anyone else, it seems I'm addicted to the way you touch me" .

"Midnight Trip to Vegas" could talk about the way the couple finally sealed their love, with an intimate ceremony in Las Vegas in July 2022. And all this fairy tale story could be reflected in "Greatest Love Story Never Told".

Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck announced their relationship after the singer and actress announced her separation from Alex Rodriguez in 2021.

This will be the first album that López has released in 8 years.

Since the release of "AKA" in 2014, JLO has presented singles such as "Pa ti" and "Lonely", together with Maluma, or "Cambia el paso" with Rauw Alejandro.

These will be the songs that will be part of “This is Me… Now”:

  • mad in love

  • Can't Get Enough
