At a time when people are already thinking about the Christmas tree, the maypole is in the foreground in Hattenhofen: Because the maypole friends have founded an association.
Hattenhofen - So far, the Maibaumfreunde were an association of committed people.
You could also say: a club.
But they were not a registered association.
That is now changing.
In the summer, the long-standing bosses of the group, Georg Ostermair and Michael Scherer, resigned.
So a new tip was needed.
Maxi Trinkl and Andi Rieder took care of the matter in order to preserve the Maibaum tradition.
And they set about founding the Maibaumfreunde as a registered association.
Two women
The duo distributed around 900 invitations in Hattenhofen and Haspelmoor.
20 men and two young women then appeared at the inaugural meeting.
"What do you want here?" They were asked jokingly.
"The invitation says Maibaumfreunde, not Maibaumfreunde." One of the women countered: "I think 'friends' means the generic term." So the two sat down and later signed the membership application.
(
By the way: everything from the region is now also available in our regular
FFB newsletter.)
Maxi Trinkl (28) is a lawyer.
He therefore wanted to put the club on a secure footing, he explained.
A registered association brings advantages: One is tax-privileged and can issue donation receipts.
"The question of liability, if something happens when the maypole is erected, is also regulated." When it came to the statutes, he followed the model statutes of the tax office for non-profit associations, said Trinkl.
"I only made one change: if the association is dissolved, the assets do not go to the local associations, but to the municipality.
They then distribute it to the clubs.”
Unanimously
The decision to found the association and the statutes were unanimously approved.
Mayor Franz Robeller chaired the election.
Maxi Trinkl was elected chairman by acclamation, unopposed and unopposed.
Vice is Rieder.
Andreas Peter and Markus Karner take over the checkout.
Since the association is doing well financially, Trinkl suggested not charging a membership fee for the time being.
And the chairman had another piece of good news: the maypole for 2023 has already been secured.
"Siggi Karner donated it to us."
