Co-winner of the Nobel Peace Prize this year, the Belarusian civil liberties activist Ales Beliatski, in prison in his country, will be represented by his wife at the ceremony of awarding the prestigious award, announced Friday, November 25 the Nobel Institute.

Awarded at the beginning of October, against the backdrop of the war in Ukraine, to the 60-year-old activist jointly with the Russian NGO Memorial, dismantled by order of Russian justice, and the Ukrainian Center for Civil Liberties (CCL), the Nobel Peace Prize will be formally delivered to Oslo on December 10.
