Despite the rain and winter weather, Black Friday 2022 sales in Israel today led to high activity in public spending on credit cards.

During the day (Friday) there was a 19.5% increase in the spending of Israelis on credit cards compared to last year.

From the data of the Sheba, the manager and developer of the national credit payment system, it appears that between the hours of 8:00 and 15:00 expenses were recorded in the systems in a total amount of over NIS 890 million.

This is an increase of 19.5% compared to last year, on November 26, 2021, when between the hours of 8:00 and 15:00 credit card expenses were recorded in the amount of NIS 745 million.

On Black Friday two years ago, on November 27, 2020, expenses amounted to NIS 615 million.

The busiest minute during the day was 12:18, during which over 14,200 credit card transactions totaling NIS 3.2 million were recorded.
