The Russian Ministry of Defense announced that the Russian forces eliminated more than 300 mercenaries, including more than 200 Polish mercenaries, in Kharkov province, thwarted attacks by Ukrainian forces, and shot down four drones yesterday.
The ministry's spokesman, Lieutenant General Igor Konashenkov, said in a press briefing today: The Russian Aerospace Forces launched precise strikes on the mercenary concentration areas in the Veliky Khotory region of Kharkov province, during which they killed about 200 Polish militants, and the Russian Air Force also targeted the concentration areas of the Foreign Legion militants in Seversk and Slaviansk. Donetsk People's Republic, and more than 100 mercenaries were eliminated.
Konashenkov indicated that the Russian forces repelled, on the Luhansk axis, an attempt by the Ukrainian forces to carry out an attack, and about 30 Ukrainian soldiers were killed, and a number of military vehicles were destroyed, while in the direction of Krasno-Lyman, an attack attempt by the Ukrainian forces was thwarted, about 70 soldiers were eliminated and 6 vehicles were destroyed.
Konashenkov stressed that the Russian forces managed in the Donetsk axis to thwart an attack by the Ukrainian forces, and eliminated more than 100 Ukrainian soldiers, indicating that the Russian air defenses shot down 4 drones during the past day, and intercepted 5 missiles from the “Himars” and “Olkha” launchers.
