The Russian Ministry of Digital Development and Communications announced that Russia has achieved its digital sovereignty with the withdrawal of several foreign technology companies from the local market.
The Russian RT channel quoted the Russian Minister of Digital Development and Communications, Maksut Chaadaev, as saying on the sidelines of the “Digital Diamond” digital forum, which will be held today and tomorrow in the Russian city of Yakutsk: “If we talk about digital sovereignty, we have already achieved it, because foreign companies left the local market. We provide services and technologies in this field ourselves.”
Chaadaev pointed out that the voids that appeared after the withdrawal of foreign companies from the digital services market in Russia will be compensated with local technologies and products, pointing out that the Russian industry has all the capabilities for this purpose.
Russian President Vladimir Putin pointed out, during a speech he delivered at the activities of the Artificial Intelligence Journey conference, the need to develop artificial intelligence technologies and Internet technologies in Russia.
