The 2-1 defeat of the German national soccer team against Japan continues to make waves.

A TV presenter from Hesse vents his anger in a strange way.

Frankfurt/Fulda – Even two days after the 2-1 defeat of the German national soccer team against Japan at the World Cup, the discussions have not yet leveled off.

In the next game on Sunday (November 27) against Spain, the national team is already threatened with another elimination in the preliminary round.

While in Germany, in particular, the defensive in the team of national coach Hansi Flick is criticized, some malicious comments come from abroad.

After the scandal surrounding the "One Love" armband, the DFB starting eleven made a point at the obligatory team photo shortly before the game.

Not only Belgium international Eden Hazard said that the DFB-Elf should have focused on football instead of political statements.

The Arab world also said: "Next time it's better to concentrate on football".

TV presenter Ricardo Basile from Fulda caused amazement among users with a social media statement about the DFB team.

World Cup 2022: TV presenter Riccardo Basile annoys criticism of the DFB-Elf

But also from a sporting point of view there is obviously a lot to talk about.

A well-known TV moderator from Hesse apparently had a hard time with the discussions, reports fnp.de.

Riccardo Basile, who grew up in Fulda and has been at home with the pay-TV broadcaster Sky in Munich for several years, vented his anger at the sporting criticism of the DFB-Elf on his Instagram channel.

His statement was aimed at "all hobby national coaches who can hardly contain themselves with malicious joy and who are beating our national team like crazy".

He then listed the past successes of individual DFB players, only to come to the end: "The first game was lost.

It should have been 3-0 at HZ.

They win the second against Spain, and against Costa Rica anyway, and that puts them in the round of 16.” A look at the comments, however, shows quite quickly that this declaration of war is not really popular.

World Cup 2022: Flaming statement by Riccardo Basile ends in an own goal

On the contrary: "It's just a classic German attitude that you're already calculating how we're going to get ahead," writes the user "fenixsantiago82".

Another Twitter user put it even more blatantly: "Is Riccardo Basile a sports reporter or a 9-year-old?" asks a user.

His short trip to Kevin Trapp, who according to his text on Instagram Eintracht Frankfurt "alone led to the Euro League title", is torn by users.

"I still remember how Kevin Trapp put Eintracht in the lead early on in Barcelona and then single-handedly increased it to 3-0," writes "lifeoftorben," for example.

There is hardly any approval for Basile in the comment columns.

Rather, it hails scorn and ridicule.

For Ricardo Basile, the flaming statement turned out to be a classic own goal.
