Cairo, SANA- The Egyptian Parliament condemned the decision issued by the European Parliament regarding the human rights situation in Egypt

Cairo-SANA

The Egyptian Parliament condemned the decision issued by the European Parliament regarding the human rights situation in Egypt, pointing out that it was based on a package of inaccuracies and false allegations that have nothing to do with reality.

In a statement today, the Council said: “We express our complete rejection and dissatisfaction with this decision, which was disappointing and evidences the European Parliament’s unjustified insistence on continuing its declarative and tutelary approach towards Egypt, as it set itself based on false facts as the arbiter and custodian of the developments of events in the Egyptian state.” , stressing that the decision is totally and completely unacceptable and is a flagrant interference in the internal affairs of a sovereign state and a violation of United Nations charters.

The Egyptian House of Representatives expressed its deep dissatisfaction with the intensive targeting of Egypt by the European Parliament, taking advantage of its hosting of the COP 27 climate summit, pointing out that Egypt has proven to the whole world its success in hosting this major global event and organizing it at the highest level and producing tangible results that expressed the needs and demands of the world. all in order to save the planet.

The Egyptian House of Representatives reminded the European Parliament that it was more appropriate for it, instead of increasing monitoring, according to undocumented information, of the human rights situation in Egypt, to direct its attention towards facing the challenges faced by the European Union countries to advance human rights in light of the flagrant violations that these countries are witnessing.
