Three people were killed and 11 others injured in a shooting at two schools in the state of Espírito Santo, southeastern Brazil.
Brazilian media quoted Luis Carlos Coutinho, mayor of Aracruz in the state, as saying in a statement: “An armed man and a group of criminals attacked the two schools today, killing two teachers and a girl, and injuring 11 others,” without giving further details.
Four people were killed and others injured in a shooting in the city of Altamira, in northern Brazil, on the sixteenth of last May.
It is noteworthy that this type of violence rarely occurs in Brazil, where the most violent shooting incident targeting a school dates back to 2011, killing 12 students.
