Germering - As reported by the Germering police, on Thursday, November 24, at around 12:30 p.m., a 36-year-old woman from Allingen overlooked a 70-year-old cyclist who was crossing and had the right of way on Alfons-Baumann-Straße when she was reversing out of a parking space.
He was no longer able to prevent the collision with the VW Passat, which suddenly pushed out of the parking space in front of him, and collided with its rear end.
The cyclist was slightly injured in the collision, but was able to walk home from the scene of the accident after receiving outpatient treatment from the on-site helper and a rescue service crew.
Police Chief Inspector Florian Lipok also reports something curious about this accident: due to the collision, the 70-year-old's bicycle wedged itself vertically in the fender of the car and remained immobile in it.
"The two vehicles involved in the accident could only be separated again with a strong hand," explains Lipok.
The material damage caused is estimated at around 300 euros.
