The former President of the United States Donald Trump this week hosted the nationalist and holocaust denier Nick Fuentes and the rapper Kanye West at his estate in Mar-a-Lago in Florida.
This, about a week after he announced a run for the presidency in the 2024 election.
A source confirmed to CNN the existence of Trump's dinner with West and Fuentes, but added that Fuentes was a guest of Kenya and was not invited by the former president himself.
Trump explained this in a post he published on the social network he owns "Truth Social".
"Last week, Kanye West called me about dinner at Mar-a-Lago. Shortly after, he showed up unexpectedly with three of his friends, whom I knew nothing about," Trump wrote.
"We had dinner on Tuesday night with many friends present on the back patio. The meal was quick and uneventful. Afterwards they left for the airport."
West, on the other hand, posted a video on Twitter on Thursday in which he claimed that Trump is "really impressed with Fuentes," who has repeatedly made anti-Semitic comments over the years.
Trump, on the other hand, stated on Friday that he "did not know" Fuentes and that the purpose of the visit was for a business meeting and giving political advice.
"I told him that he should definitely not run for president, 'all the voters you have should vote for Trump,'" the former president wrote on the social network.
"In any case, we got along great, he didn't express anti-Semitism, and I appreciated all the nice things he said about me on 'Tucker Carlson,'" he added.

West's recent anti-Semitic remarks have resulted in companies he was associated with - including Adidas and Balenciaga - deciding to cut ties with him.
He has made many similar statements over the years, including statements that slavery was a "choice" and "racism is an outdated concept."
Fuentes has been blocked on most major social media platforms for his white nationalist rhetoric.
He was also present on the Capitol grounds the night of the break-in, and he promoted Trump's unsubstantiated claims of fraud in the 2020 election. The House Select Committee investigating the events of January 6 issued a subpoena to Fuentes in January.
