With Christmas approaching, toy advertisements have now invaded our screens. The debates on the sexist stereotypes that they can convey


One month before Christmas and after a day of watching advertisements for toys aimed at children, one thing is clear: sexist stereotypes will still be at the foot of the tree.

Among other examples, the girls are always invited to “create super trendy looks” or take care of babies, while the boys must be ready “for battle”, by launching their marbles which transform into super-powerful monsters.
