Nearly 100 personnel from the Tin Sum Division, the New Territories South Regional Emergency Unit, the Fire Services Department, the Hospital Authority and the Prince of Wales Hospital conducted an interdepartmental accident drill code-named "Dense Forest" at the Prince of Wales Hospital today (26th).
The exercise simulated a man stabbing someone with a knife and placing chemicals in the outdoor car park of the Prince of Wales Hospital.
In the incident, 12 passers-by were cut and inhaled gas discomfort.
The purpose of the exercise is to improve the command, control, cross-departmental collaboration and response capabilities of all units in emergencies.

After receiving the report, the police quickly subdued the suspect and set up a command post at the scene.
The rescue team then arrived at the scene to carry out rescue work, set up a gathering point and a triage station for the injured, and conducted first aid and medical assessment for the injured.
The Prince of Wales Hospital also activated the "Major Accident Control Center" in response to the situation on the spot, coordinating the command of the hospital and coordinating with other departments.
The Fire Services Department also dispatched a hazardous substance team to the scene to dispose of the relevant chemicals and perform decontamination procedures for the injured.
