Fatal accident in NRW: Audi crashes over the crash barrier in the embankment

A 30-year-old driver died after an accident on the A46 near Neuss.
He lost control of his vehicle and landed on an embankment.
Neuss – There was a fatal accident on the A46 near Neuss on Saturday morning.
A 30-year-old man from Duisburg, who was driving on the Autobahn in the direction of Düsseldorf, lost control of his vehicle for reasons that have not yet been clarified.
Apparently he wanted to switch to the A57 towards Nijmegen at the Neuss-West junction.
The car came off the road to the left, was thrown over the rising crash barrier and landed on an embankment, according to a spokesman for the Düsseldorf motorway police.
The man died on the spot from his serious injuries, reports 24RHEIN.
After the accident, the police had to block the crossing to the A57 (symbol image).

Fatal accident on A46: Transition to A57 closed for hours
It is said to have been a one-on-one accident.
The police were alerted at around 7:25 a.m.
So there were no witnesses.
After the accident, the junction to the A57 in the direction of Krefeld had to be closed for several hours.
There was a traffic jam of up to two kilometers.
The lockdown was lifted around 11:30 a.m.
The police have taken up further investigations and secured clues at the scene.
There was already a serious accident on a NRW motorway on Friday.
A total of eight vehicles collided on the A3 near Leverkusen.
Three people were injured.
