Five years after it opened, Assaf Granit's "Balan" restaurant is closing for renovations.
One of the most talked about and successful restaurants of the Israeli chef and the "Mechanioda" group closed its doors yesterday (Friday).
Behind the scenes, there was a long dispute with the French partners that took place in court, and at the end of it, the judge ruled in favor of Granit.
"Balan" was one of the prominent and annoying restaurants in Paris that hosted, among others, famous people from all over the world.
Yesterday, as mentioned, the restaurant was officially closed and next week the renovations will begin which will last several months, at the end of which the group will open a new restaurant.
At this stage it is not clear whether under the name "Balan", or another name.

Assaf Granit said in response: "We are happy that we were able to say goodbye to the local partners after professional gaps that made it very difficult for us. We have been working for some time on renewing the restaurant, which after a busy period, must receive an upgrade and are excited to finally reopen it, along with another project that will soon open in the Mara district ".
