Hausham – The Hausham municipal council recently debated the introduction of the citizen bus project.

The majority of the committee finally agreed to a one-year trial period.

The administration estimates the costs for this at a good 30,000 euros.

The line must be advertised by the district office.

Because the bus should also go to Miesbach, it will be determined whether the city would like to participate in the driving service.

One trigger for the conception of a citizens' bus was that after the closing of the Netto store on Nagelbachstrasse, there were practically no longer any shopping opportunities within walking distance in the Auerbergsiedlung area.

"It would be a great help, especially for older citizens and those who have no chance of shopping by car," Mayor Jens Zangenfeind is convinced.

As a further side effect, the administration hopes that some private trips will then also be dispensed with.

Target stops are the Auerbergsiedlung, Alpenstrasse, Tegernseer Strasse (Netto), the new and old town hall and the shops at the roundabout on Obere Tiefenbachstrasse.

From there it should then go to Agatharied to the Staudenhäusl and the hospital as well as to Miesbach in the Edeka area and to the town square.

The bus will run on two weekdays and every second Saturday.

At least five tours are planned per day.

The rides should be free.

According to the administration, the municipality would realistically face costs of 200 to 300 euros per driving day.

The timing should be chosen so that it fits as cheaply as possible for shopping in Hausham, but also for the market days in Miesbach.

The head of the town hall sees the inclusion of the district town in the network of stops as important: “We are forming a medium-sized center with Miesbach according to the regional plan.

We are therefore of the opinion that mutual accessibility must be given.” Hausham hopes that the decision will then also be received by the Miesbach city council as “a friendly signal” and that they can imagine financial participation in the citizens’ bus.
