In support of the national campaign to investigate cancer in Homs, the path of the branch of the Syrian Society for Cancer Control (You are Life 2) was launched, with the participation of civil and humanitarian activities and organizations.
The head of the Syrian Cancer Society branch in Homs, Dr. Zahi al-Shawaf, explained in a statement to SANA reporter that the society's support for the national campaign aims to introduce people to the campaign and encourage them to investigate cancer.
For his part, Dr. Musallam al-Atassi, Director of Health in Homs, praised the directorate's participation in the march organized by the branch of the Syrian Society for Cancer Control in Homs, with the aim of educating the people of Homs governorate and inviting them to investigate the disease, by visiting centers, hospitals and mobile vehicles to ensure their safety and check on their health.
The head of the Businesswomen's Committee in the Homs Chamber of Commerce, Afaf al-Hassan, explained the importance of businesswomen's participation in the national campaign to investigate cancer and participate in the walk, pointing out that the committee will also implement an awareness lecture next week to encourage women to investigate cancer.
Dr. Haneen Sweed, a dental graduate from the Al-Dandashi Educational Foundation, noted the participation of the foundation's youth in the march by distributing awareness brochures, pointing to the foundation's support for the branch of the Syrian Society for Cancer Control in a number of its awareness-raising activities.
For their part, a number of young volunteers at the branch of the Syrian Society for Cancer Control and the Al-Dandashi Educational Foundation considered that participation in the campaign has great humanitarian and patriotic implications, by strengthening the role of youth in society and spreading awareness.
