The Iranian authorities announced today the arrest of the elements involved in the terrorist attack on a patrol of the Internal Security Forces in the city of Zahedan, the center of Sistan and Baluchestan province, in the southeast of the country.
The security directorate in the province said in a statement that "the elements involved in launching a treacherous terrorist attack on the men of a patrol of the internal security forces belonging to the "Cheshme Ziyarat" outpost in the city of Zahedan were arrested last Monday," without giving further details.
Last Monday, the commander of the Internal Security Forces in the province, Brigadier General Muhammad Qanbari, announced the death of a member of a patrol of the Internal Security Forces in Zahedan in a terrorist attack.
