"He's been waiting for this for so long!" exclaimed the headlines in the Polish media this evening (Saturday).
Robert Lewandowski scored his first goal in the World Cup tournaments and although it was only his fifth match, he really waited for it for such a long time.
"After the goal, the captain drowned in the arms of his friends and could not hide his excitement."
The prodigious scorer scored 76 goals for the Polish national team until tonight - much more than any other player (Wlodimir Lewanski is in second place with 48) - but the 77 may have been the sweetest of all.
In the 82nd minute, the 34-year-old Lewandowski took advantage of a mistake in the Saudi Arabian defense, making it 0:2 and sealing a Polish victory there.
He deserves it.

With all due respect to Lewandowski's great story, Poland's man at the World Cup so far is Wojciech Szczesny.
Today the goalkeeper stopped a penalty in the overtime of the first half and immediately added a miraculous save from the rebound.
Szczesny kept a clean sheet for the second game in a row and he has 9 stops of 9 balls kicked into the Polish frame.
Sport.pl wrote: "After the victory over Argentina, the king of Saudi Arabia (the crown prince) gave the players a Rolls Royce as a gift. If so, after tonight's game our goalkeeper also deserves a Rolls Royce. A great performance by Szczesny, who finally gave A big game in a big tournament."
