New settlement plans announced by the Israeli occupation in the cities of Hebron, Bethlehem, Nablus and Salfit in the West Bank, at a time when its forces continue to demolish Palestinian homes and seize their lands in occupied Jerusalem to bring about a demographic change in favor of the settlers.

The National Office for Defending the Land and Resisting Settlements of the Palestine Liberation Organization stated in a report published today on its website that the occupation authorities announced a plan to establish 90 settlement units in the heart of Hebron, 30 of which will be built on the lands of the old central station, and 60 on the lands of the wholesale market, indicating that The occupation also seized two buildings in the old city of the city and handed them over to the settlers as part of its plans to double their numbers in Hebron.

The report indicated that the occupation will start implementing a plan that was announced in 2018 to establish 7,000 settlement units on an area of ​​1,200 dunums of Khallet al-Nahla land, south of Bethlehem, to expand a settlement established in the area. The lands of the villages of Al-Khader, Nahalin, and Artas in Bethlehem, and 616 dunums of the lands of the villages of Qaryut, Al-Laban, and Al-Sawiya in Nablus, to expand settlement operations.

The report of the National Office for the Defense of the Territory stated that the occupation continues the policy of ethnic cleansing against Jerusalemites, as it demolished a house in the town of Silwan, and removed the minaret of the Jerusalem Citadel Mosque in Bab al-Khalil with the aim of obliterating the Islamic monuments of the place and Judaizing it. By displacing and losing hundreds of Palestinians from their only source of livelihood, while seizing swathes of the lands of the Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood and the towns of Beit Safafa and Beit Hanina, and handed them over to the settlers.

The report stated that the occupation forces demolished two houses in the towns of Duma in Nablus and Al-Khader in Bethlehem, and agricultural facilities in the towns of Kafr Al-Dik in Salfit, Atara in Ramallah, and Al-Nabi Elias in Qalqilya, and delivered notices to demolish homes and facilities in the towns of Azzun in Qalqilya, Frush Beit Dajan in Nablus, and Qarawat Bani Hassan. In Salfit, Khirbet Humsa al-Fawqa and Umm al-Abr in the northern Jordan Valley.

The report stated that settlers stormed the Tel Rumeida neighborhood in Hebron, Khirbet Iskaria in Bethlehem, and the town of Ramin in Tulkarem, and attacked Palestinian homes and properties, burned dozens of olive trees, and seized 400 dunums of the lands of the towns of Aqraba and Majdal Bani Fadil in Nablus, and areas of the lands of the town of Bruqin in Salfit. They cut off the road between Hawara and Qalqilya, obstructed the movement of Palestinians, and attacked their vehicles.
