A two-year-old boy dialed the emergency number for the police.

The Krefeld police officers react brilliantly - and make an unusual offer.

Every day, 110 people who are in serious trouble and need help from the police call the 110 number.

It is therefore important that this number remains free for such requests for help.

A caller to the Krefeld police in North Rhine-Westphalia did not have an emergency, but the police officers are not angry.

Two-year-old calls the emergency number: by mistake or applying from a future colleague?

"Dear two-year-old," begins a post on the Facebook page of the Krefeld police, reports 24RHEIN.

A page where the police officers usually post reports on current operations or go looking for witnesses.

But after the little boy called, the Krefeld police officers had another concern: "Well, thank you very much for your spontaneous call to our control center," the police continue.

"Of course, it could be that you were just playing around with Dad's phone and accidentally dialed 110."

But the police officers are also jokingly considering another option: the little one could also be a potential applicant for a police officer position.

Only one thing stands in the way of a career in the police: the child does not even go to kindergarten, so an apprenticeship is only possible in about 15 years at the earliest.

However, the police officers do not want to miss the opportunity to meet a future colleague: “But if you want to apply for a job with us in good time: please call us again in a few years.

Facebook users are celebrating the sympathetic response.

The post on her Facebook page has been liked over 2,100 times.

And the comment column also shows that users appreciate such a contribution between crime reports.

Many commenters say the funny feedback is also "superbly written."

Another user does not want to let the police get away with their reasoning and jokingly writes: “But I have also seen colleagues who have not yet sprout beard hair.

So that's not a requirement for employment." Another user suggests: "He could do an internship beforehand." And no matter how the boy decides in the future, one thing is certain: probably never has a child got a job offer that early.
