Russian President Vladimir Putin discussed by phone today with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev the progress of the implementation of the tripartite agreements between Russia, Armenia and Azerbaijan.

The Kremlin said in a statement reported by Sputnik: “Putin and Aliyev discussed during the call steps to implement the full set of tripartite agreements between the leaders of Russia, Azerbaijan and Armenia, with a focus on practical issues related to opening transport links and economic relations in the region.”

Russian President Vladimir Putin, his Azerbaijani counterpart, Ilham Aliyev, and Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan issued a joint statement after their tripartite summit in Sochi last month, in which they confirmed that they would make additional efforts to solve all problems and issues, in addition to taking measures that would enhance stability and security in the Caucasus region.
