Luckenwalde - On Saturday night (November 26th) the roof of a KiK branch in Luckenwalde, Brandenburg, collapsed.

No one was injured in the accident.
The roof of the KiK branch collapses – "No one was hurt"
Employees of the textile discounter had already heard suspicious noises on Friday, which seemed to be coming from the roof.
As reported by the
Märkische Allgemeine Zeitung (MAZ)
, the police and fire brigade were already alerted.
"At first it was assumed that people might be tampering with the roof, but that was not the case," said a police spokesman.
Nevertheless, to be on the safe side, the KiK employees decided to leave the shop closed on the following Saturday and Monday.
A crafts company should investigate the disturbing noises in the beams.
The prudent actions of the employees could possibly have prevented worse things from happening.
The food discounter Lidl also has clothing in its range again and again.
A specially designed Christmas jumper is currently being sold on the Internet for four times the price.
Collapsed down to the shelves: the exact time of the accident is still unknown
It is not yet clear when exactly the roof of the clothing discounter collapsed.
However, the accident must have happened between closing time on Friday evening and Saturday morning.
Pictures from the Luckenwalde branch show that the roof came down to the shelves in some places and sometimes messed up the range.
The shattered metal and wooden parts of the roof were clearly visible from the outside.
After the collapse, the Luckenwalde police took over the reconnaissance work and initiated an investigation.
"External influences such as storms, snow loads or fallen scaffolding are ruled out," a police spokesman told
MAZ
.
The amount of property damage has not yet been quantified.
Meanwhile, the current inflation and high energy prices are dampening the buying mood of consumers - many retailers are therefore tempting people with strong discounts around Black Friday.
