The Russian Ministry of Defense announced that the Ninth Review Conference of the participating countries in the Convention on the Prohibition of Biological and Toxin Weapons will be held in Geneva from November 28 to December 16.
And the website of the Russian Ministry of Defense quoted General Igor Kirillov, commander of the radiation protection forces and chemical and biological materials of the Russian forces, as saying in a briefing today: that last September, at the initiative of Russia, a consultative meeting was held for the states parties to the agreement, and in October Russia submitted a report on violations cases. Biological and Toxin Weapons Convention by Ukraine and the United States for consideration by the UN Security Council.
Kirillov added: Western countries have obstructed the vote on the Security Council's decision to conduct an international investigation into the activities of American biological laboratories in Ukraine. The US military biology in Ukraine raises questions even among the US's closest allies, although Western countries blocked the vote on the resolution.
Kirillov explained that US military personnel are being replaced in foreign projects with civilians, with the aim of removing suspicions and accusations of the biological military activity of the Pentagon, and that the United States hides from its people the activity of the Office of Threat Reduction of the US Department of Defense.
Kirillov indicated that the Russian Ministry of Defense submitted 3 proposals that could contribute to increasing the transparency of biological programs and the compliance of all participants with the requirements of the Convention on the Limitation of the Proliferation of Biological Weapons, pointing out that the high risks of accidents in American biological laboratories is one of the reasons for their transfer to the territory of third countries, including That's Ukraine.
