Sold Out: When this was done, the shelves were still full.

Shortly thereafter, Ulrike Sore had sold everything.

All.

After just a few hours, the sale was over.

At the end of her career as head of fashion mosaic Herrsching, Ulrike Sore was almost overwhelmed by customers and gave her an unexpectedly quick sale.

"There's no nicer way to finish," she says happily.

Herrsching

– On Wednesday morning, Ulrike Sore was still standing in front of the cell phone camera as usual to post her now obligatory promotional video on Instagram.

Which blouse has just arrived, which trousers go best with it - there were customers for whom this appearance was like their daily bread.

The videos have been around since the lockdowns, so those who follow her there were the last to worry when there wasn't one.

Wednesday was the last post before the closure of the fashion mosaic under the direction of Ulrike Sore, because as soon as the sale had started, everything was sold out.

The lady from Herrsching has been running the fashion mosaic on Seestrasse for 33 years.

According to her own statement, she hasn't carried an item into the basement in the fall. "I've sold off every season," she says.

The fashion mosaic was her life, there was almost no vacation, "sometimes a week, nothing more".

Always with the business and her girls in mind.

At peak times, Ulrike Sore had eight employees.

Already in May she downsized the store.

On her 60th birthday she said to herself: "Now I'll stop.

I gave that to myself.”

She doesn't seem to be able to really believe it herself when she stands in the empty fashion mosaic on Thursday.

The sale was originally supposed to last until December 10th.

Because she knows her customers, she had expected that by the second weekend in Advent at the latest there would be nothing left.

Even she was surprised that 4470 parts sold out within a few hours.

"For the first time in 33 years you will find me speechless," she says.

Anyone who knows the boutique boss knows what that means.

"What a great departure." However, the end will not be properly celebrated until December 15, as planned.

Then she officially introduces her successor: Tanja Winheim.

Both have known each other for years from sales.

Ulrike Sore bought from the agency that Tanja Winheim works for.

And both have the same taste.

That's why not much should change for the customers.

The fashion mosaic keeps its name, Ulrike Sore's "girls" are taken over.

"There's just a new person there," she says.

Not more.

The popular oversize sizes will also remain.

“Never change a running system” (why change something when things are going well) is what the 45-year-old successor, a businesswoman with a degree in German and history and mother of three-and-a-half-year-old twin boys, calls it.

Ulrike Sore knows the situation of her successor.

Her daughter Nathalie is 28 years old, "I also raised my child between Kashmir".

After 33 years, there is no longer a business that Ulrike Sore has to think about.

"I will miss every single customer," she says and therefore wants to support Tanja Winheim at first.

But she also wants to focus on herself, “wants to learn to live.

My husband Robert Krath also deserves to get my time.” There is also another hobby that she hasn't had time for for ten years: painting.

It's not that she doesn't have any more plans, namely her first exhibition next year.

After the farewell party on December 15, the fashion mosaic is going on a company vacation.

The reopening with a new boss is planned for January 26, 2023.
