The elected President of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, was sworn in today, officially assuming the presidency in the country.
The Russia Today website stated that the oath-taking ceremony took place at the Independence Palace in the capital, Astana, in the presence of former President Nursultan Nazarbayev and members of the government, in addition to parliamentarians and the diplomatic corps.
And the Central Election Commission in Kazakhstan announced on the 22nd of this month that Tokayev won the presidential elections after obtaining 81.31 percent of the votes.
