Vice President of the EU Commission: Ukraine refugees will remain after the end of the war

10.30 a.m .:

According to the EU Commission Vice President Dubravka Suica, the refugees from Ukraine who are spread across Europe will not return immediately to their homeland even after the end of the war.

"Their schools are destroyed, their houses are destroyed, their jobs are lost," Suica told the editorial network Germany.

According to their assessment, hosts such as Germany or Poland would have to be prepared for refugees from Ukraine to stay for years after the end of the war: "I think we have to be prepared for that."

A key problem is that these families think they can go home the day after the war.

"But they won't go home then," said Suica, Vice President of the EU Commission for Democracy and Demography.

"I have to say it so frankly, I experienced the war in Croatia in former Yugoslavia myself."

Russia apparently wants to ban oil sales to Europe and the US

9:30 a.m.:

The Kremlin is apparently working on a presidential decree that would prohibit Russian traders from selling Russian oil to companies that participate in a price-covering mechanism.

This is reported by the financial news portal bloomberg.com with reference to a person familiar with the process.

The decree will ban any reference to a price cap in contracts for Russian crude oil and prohibit shipments to countries that impose such caps.

On Friday, the European Union, the United States and the G7 countries agreed on a global price cap for Russian oil.

After that, the raw material will only be allowed to be shipped for a maximum of 65 to 70 dollars per barrel.

The price cap is to take effect from the beginning of December, at the same time as the EU embargo on Russian oil that has already been decided comes into force.

The aim of the agreement is to reduce Russian income from oil sales.

London: Russia also uses missiles without warheads

9am:

Russia likely removes nuclear warheads from aging cruise missiles and fires weapons without ammunition, UK says

This is reported by the British Ministry of Defence.

Images show the remains of cruise missiles developed in the 1980s to carry nuclear warheads.

The missing warheads may have been filled with ballast.

The kinetic energy and unused fuel would still cause damage.

"Regardless of the reasons, this improvisation shows the extent to which Russia's contingent of long-range missiles has been reduced," according to the daily intelligence update.

Civilians are being taken out of Kherson

8.30 a.m .:

Because of the difficult situation in Cherson, the Ukrainian government took the first civilians out of the recaptured city.

The Ministry of Infrastructure announced that 26 of the 100 evacuees were children and six were sick.

They would be accommodated in the Khmelnytskyi area, which is considered safe, and would receive the usual state support for internally displaced persons.

Under pressure from Ukrainian attacks, Russian troops returned Cherson to the Ukrainians in mid-November after eight months of occupation.

But the infrastructure has been destroyed and supplies are difficult.

The government is therefore advising mothers with children in particular to leave the city temporarily.
